Mixed Media / Solvent Transfer Paintings
I’m constantly collecting images, my iPhone camera has replaced my sketchbook—i take pictures of pictures, i hoard pixels. I think of the internet, of google search or instagram, as a kind of 21st Century “I Ching,” Chance operations powered by a sorting algorithm. I never plan what a piece will look like in advance; I prefer to improv alla prima in a gradually unfolding dialogue with the piece. (New work in progress)
